For many years we have talked and prayed about Christ City Church becoming a church planting church in order to reach more people with the gospel and seek the wellbeing of the whole city of Dublin – reaching short and long term residents. On different occasions we have reflected on God’s words through Jeremiah (chapter 29:4-7) to the people living in exile in Babylon or to Jonah (chapter 4:10-11) regarding the pagan city of Nineveh to stay and invest in the city.
It is with those thoughts, prayers and discussions in mind that we now come to consider starting a morning congregation in September 2022 on the southside of Dublin (God willing we’d love to do a Northside one in the years to come too!). At this stage it is still a discussion and a consideration, particularly regarding timing and location, and we want everyone who calls CCC their home to join us on the journey as prayerfully discern what it means to reach our great city with the gospel. We are praying for a moment, like we read about in Acts 15:28, where as a church “it seems good to the Holy Spirit and to us.”
So please come along, immediately after the service, for around 1 hour. There will be plenty of space for questions, for concerns and ideas to be shared, and for us to pray together. Here are the details
