CAP Money Coaching Course at CCC

This February at CCC, we are inviting CAP Ireland (Christians Against Poverty) to come and deliver a short 5-week Money Coaching course for free to anyone interested in learning how to manage their finances more effectively. Money coaching is for everyone from the stay at home parent, to the worker in the city, to the college student and everyone in-between whether you’re looking to gain valuable life skills or if you are someone who has already experienced financial difficulty or distress.

Our vision at Christ City Church is ‘to make a positive difference in the city of Dublin spiritually, culturally and socially.’

One of the ways we hope to see the outworking of this vision is through partnering with CAP Ireland (Christians Against Poverty) in 2024. CAP’s vision is to inspire and equip churches in helping people out of poverty. CAP believes that no-one should go through financial distress alone. CAP provides training for partner churches to be able to offer money coaching and emotional support to everyone, whether in financial distress or simply interested in learning important life skills.

CAP says, “Managing your money doesn’t have to be a pain. Learn the skills to make it simple”

At CCC, we want to do this for two reasons. First, to equip those in our church with the skills and resources to steward their own finances well, and second, so they can bring these resources and skills to others as a means of demonstrating the love of God practically to those in our communities. We see this as a long term opportunity to train volunteers to run Money Coaching courses in many neighbourhoods in Dublin using CAP’s resources as a way to share the love of God and introduce others to Jesus.

If this is something you have a passion for or whether these practical resources will be of benefit to yourself personally then do consider coming along to our in-person information evening.

When?

Thursday 22nd February at 7.30pm: An in-person introduction evening for those interested in finding out more about CAP and its new money coaching course.

Then?

Starting on Thursday 29th February at 7.30pm, a 4-week online course running on consecutive Thursday evenings for 75 mins on Zoom for interested Money Coaches.

What Next?

If after the Money Coaching course you find that you would like to pass this on to others, or know of a few people in your life who could benefit from this, ourselves and CAP can help you set up a local pilot money coaching course to deliver this training to others.

If you’re interested in coming along or have any questions please let Maffy or Steve know, or register your interest by signing up.
