As a church we want to play our small part in loving the poor and needy in our city and abroad.
One simple way of helping us do that this year is serving and helping with Team Hope and the Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
What is Team Hope?
TEAM HOPE is an Irish, Christian development aid charity, working with children, and through them, into their families and communities mainly across Eastern Europe, former Soviet Union and Africa (Irish charity number CHY 14524). They are best known for their Christmas Shoebox Appeal, they also help children all year round through a variety of community development projects, (many of these families trying to survive on less than €1 a day).
What is the Christmas Shoebox Appeal?
They give your Christmas Shoebox gifts right into the hands of some of the world’s most vulnerable children – many of whom will receive no other gift this Christmas. What can you do? (help pack the boxes)
Please do donate or bring a box yourself but what would be a big help most of all is that you help pack boxes at a warehouse. There are warehouses all over Dublin so do get involved. One of our City Groups are volunteering on Tuesday 29th November in the Sandyford Checking centre but there are limited places, please speak to Emma Law if you are interested.
