Team Hope – Christmas Shoebox Appeal

As a church we want to play our small part in loving the poor and needy in our city and abroad.

One simple way of helping us do that this year is serving and helping with Team Hope and the Christmas Shoebox Appeal.

What is Team Hope?

TEAM HOPE is an Irish, Christian development aid charity, working with children, and through them, into their families and communities mainly across Eastern Europe, former Soviet Union and Africa (Irish charity number CHY 14524). They are best known for our Christmas Shoebox Appeal, we also help children all year round through a variety of community development projects, (many of these families trying to survive on less than €1 a day).

What is the Christmas Shoebox Appeal?

We give your Christmas Shoebox gifts right into the hands of some of the world’s most vulnerable children – many of whom will receive no other gift this Christmas. For some it’s the first gift they’ve ever received. You can see where the boxes went last year –

What can you do? (help pack the boxes)

Please do donate or bring a box yourself but what we are asking most of all is that you come along one Monday night (19th, 26th Nov & 3rd Dec from 7.30pm to 9.30pm) over the coming weeks to help pack the boxes. Dustyn & Keri Burwell are leading the warehouse packing on Monday nights at unit 10, Station Square, Clongriffin, Dublin 13. It is right beside the dart station and beside the gym called Body Transformations. There is free parking in the underground parking in Station Square. There is also a warehouse in Sandyford if that is easier for anyone.

How do I get involved?

If you want to be involved just turn up, or better still contact Keri Burwell by email or phone – 083 844 7437
