Being a student is an exciting time! We invite you to our Student Pizza Evening on Sunday 27th September after our CCC Central gathering. It’ll be a chance for us to welcome you and get to know you, and there’ll also be free pizza!! For those who aren’t in a local church and would like to connect in, we would love to welcome you to CCC.
You’ve left school behind you and are now living life more and more by your own decisions – whether you’re still living at home or you’ve moved away, whether you got your first choice course or not – you’re in a new season of life.
This season as a student can be a gift of time; where you might not have to rush out to a full time job all day, you don’t have the pressures of bills or too much responsibility – this won’t last forever, so run with it! It’s a time to try new hobbies and sports, make new friends but it is also a chance to explore or deepen your faith.
If you’re not a Christian, or you were raised religious but you’re not sure there’s anything in it for you, being a student can give you time to ask questions like, ‘Is God real?’, ‘Who is Jesus?’, and ‘Why does it matter anyway?’ You’re more than just flesh and blood – you’ve a soul, people and feelings matter and time as a student can be a formative time to consider why you are here. In Christ City Church we want to have a place where people with questions are welcome to come along and meet Christians who gather to hear from the Bible. While you’re a student there’s a chance for you to have an informed opinion and decide what you think of Jesus.
Or, if you’re already a Christian, time as a student can be amazing to grow as a follower of Jesus, to deepen your knowledge of the Bible, to have fellowship with other Christians; enduring tough times, growing in faith through them and experiencing real communion with God by the Holy Spirit, where his love for you is where you find life.
It’s a time to put good fuel in the tank, to build up your foundations of faith in Jesus ahead of the next season of life beyond college.

CCC Central – 4.30pm in Synge Street Secondary School, Portobello
CCC North – 10.30am in Lindsay Road National School, Glasnevin
CCC South – 10.30am in Oatlands Primary School, Stillorgan
