LIFE GROUPS

Life Groups are same sex groups of 2-5 people within the Church that are committed to 'form the life of Christ' in each other (Galatians 4:19).

God himself is a community of three persons (Father, Son and Spirit) and Jesus himself thought it wise to invest in 3 disciples (Peter, James and John) out of the 12. So we too are looking to encourage life groups, normally flowing out of City Groups, to help each other look more and more like Jesus.

Proverbs 27:17 puts the aim of the groups nicely when it says "as iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another" - we're looking to sharpen each other in terms of our characters, our joy, our love and our mission.

Read our 'Life Groups - what are they?' blog post, which gives you more details as to why they are important to church life

For some suggestions as to how to structure the group and what to do when you meet up, read the 'Life Groups - resources to get you going' blog post.

If you have any questions speak to your City Group Leader or Steve & Leanne.
