This December we’ll be getting the tinsel out, warming up the mulled wine and singing our favourite carols to celebrate Jesus’ birth.
Christmas only comes around once a year, so there’ll be not one; not two; not three; but four occasions to feel festive!
Sunday 3rd December 2017: Contemporary Christmas Service
We’ll have traditional carols, bible readings, a short talk and a few other reflections to help us think on the meaning of Christmas today. Plus there will be mulled wine and mince pies! Afterwards we’ll head over the road to The Bleeding Horse for a few drinks. There’ll also be a competition for the best Christmas jumper so make sure you dig out your fancy festive gear for the occasion!
Sunday 10th December 2017: Family Christmas Service
Come and join us for our family Christmas service as we celebrate the birth of Jesus with games, carols, a nativity play, a quiz, a short talk and lots more. There’ll be a few treats for the kids, as well as mulled wine and mince pies for the adults!
Sunday 17th December 2017: Christmas Community Banquet
Instead of our normal Sunday service we’ll be holding a Christmas Community Banquet. Everyone is welcome. We’ll make the Synge Street Hall look beautiful, and there will be food and drink for all, as well as plenty of good craic. We’ll also take 10-15 minutes to watch a short clip from a famous Christmas film to help us reflect on the meaning of Christmas today.
Sunday 24th December 2017: Christmas Eve Service
This will be our last meeting of the year and the final chance to celebrate Jesus birth together.
We’ll be in Synge Street as usual for all these events, and will start with refreshments (including mulled wine and mince pies) from 4.15pm. The service will begin at 4.30pm and last around an hour. Everyone’s very welcome, please do invite others along.
